The material is different, film type material, so it does not smudge and dries within the second that I put it on. It lasts all day on my oily skin. I only use this liner on my upper lids, and use a pencil liner on the bottom eyelids on my waterlines, because this liner isn't meant for my waterlines. If I wear this eyeliner everyday, it usually lasts me exactly 2 months.
